Jordyn Rausch

18UW Aces

Jordyn has been an active volleyball coach for 7 years and is currently in the process of becoming a Certified Development Coach. Jordyn played youth club volleyball as a young adult, and even has a Nationals silver medal under her belt! As a coach she has a bronze medal in 15UW Sask Cup #3 and a gold and silver medal with the 18UW Chaos and 17UW Chargers respectively in other Sask Volleyball sanctioned events.

Her favourite part about coaching is helping athletes reach their full potential and achieve the goals they set for themselves. Watching each player grow not only on the cout but as individuals off the court is truly inspiring. She takes pride in craeting a welcoming and safe environment for all of her players and their families. As a coach, she wants nothing but the best for every athlete she works with.

Zosia Gehl

17UW Aces

Zosia Gehl has over a decade of high school and four years of club volleyball coaching experience, and is in the process of becoming a Certified Development Coach. In the 2024-25 season, her leadership brought a second CVVC team into the 16UW Division 1 standings for Sask Volleyball which allowed two CVVC teams to be named the top 10 teams in Saskatchewan for the entire year.

A multisport athlete, her background also includes five years of university soccer and Canada Games competition. She is especially passionate about volleyball as she has played the sport for over 30 years and continues to play to this day. Always in pursuit of new insights and a deeper understanding of the game, Zosia not only plays and coaches volleyball, but also studies the game through her ventures as a qualified volleyball official.

Zosia’s favourite aspects of volleyball are the power of teamwork, exhilarating competition, and the opportunity for character development.  She is extremely excited to be returning to CVVC for her third year of coaching with our club.

Shawn Huber

16UW Aces

Shawn has been a volleyball coach for the Langham School Senior Girls team for 13 years and a club volleyball coach with CVVC for 5 years, and is a Certified Development Coach. Throughout his years of coaching, he has won multiple SHSAA provincial medals including a bronze medal in 2018 and 2023 and a silver medal in 2022 and 2024. As a club coach he has won multiple Division 1 medals including a 14UW Sask Cup #1 bronze in 2022, a 15UW Sask Cup #2 and #3 bronze medal in 2023, and a 16UW Sask Cup #2 and #3 bronze and silver medal respectively in 2024.

Shawn's coaching philosophy is that sport is more than just winning and losing, it provides the opportunity to work on skills necessary for life such as work ethic, teamwork, adversity, sportsmanship, and being a good teammate. He also believes that coaches have the opportunity to positively impact athletes lives, shaping their character, instilling values and boosting self esteem. 

Shawn enjoys coaching because of the energy that young athletes bring to the gym.  Watching young athletes improve and learn how to deal with the various obstacles that can arise in sport and then seeing the pure joy after they have succeeded is very rewarding as a coach. As a coach he gets the privilege to go to the gym, be around the sport he loves and help young athletes love this sport even more.

Carl Martens-Funk

16UW Storm

Carl has been an assistant coach with CVVC for 1 year, and this is his first year head coaching. Carl is an In Training Development Coach. He played volleyball at both the high school and college level, and in 2024 helped lead the CVVC 14UW to a gold medal in the Sask Volleyball Division 2 Provincials. Carl is eager to see his players reach their potential while having fun enjoying the sport of volleyball.

Erin Davis

15UW Aces

Erin has been an active club volleyball coach for 13 years, is a Certified Development Coach, and is in the process of becoming an Advanced Development Coach. Erin has also been on the Executive Board of Directors of CVVC for 3 years. Over the last few years she has received multiple Division 1 medals including a 13UW Provincial silver medal in 2022, a 14UW Sask Cup #1 bronze medal in 2023, and a 15UW Sask Cup #3 gold medal in 2024. Her favourite part about coaching is helping athletes reach their full potential as volleyball players and to help them grow their love of the sport that she herself loves so much. Participating in growing their confidence on the court and watching it seep into the other areas of their life is a big reason why she coaches. Most of all - teaching them to have fun while playing the sport, even at the highest level.

Erin's coaching philosphy is that coaching is about and for the athlete, nothing else. Be patient, kind, and have fun. Athletes who have fun and enjoy showing up to practices and are given the confidence to reach their full potential will show the most growth.

Dan Schellenberg

14UW Aces

Dan has been an active coach for 12 years in both club and high school volleyball, as well as an assistant coach for the University of Regina. Dan is a Trained Development Coach, and recently led his team to a 13UW Division 1 Provincial gold medal in 2025.

Dan enjoys helping young athletes realize their full potential. He strives to be relentlessly positive as he believes that athletes perform best when they are in a supportive environment.

Lisa Rein

14UW Storm

Lisa has been an active volleyball coach for 1 year, although she has coached flag football for 3 years prior to starting with volleyball! She is a Trained Development Coach, and last year lead the 13UW Storm to a bronze medal in Division 2 at the Sask Volleyball 2025 Provincials. In addition to skills development, Lisa enjoys helping athletes learn about what it takes to be a true team-mate, how to have good sportsmanship and to always aim at achieving a higher level. The most rewarding part of coaching for her is being involved in the positive progress of athletes, both physically and mentally throughout the season - this includes not only volleyball, but in life!

Lisa's coaching philosophy is to create a fun and positive environment for athletes to develop their skills, which ultimately builds into a love for the game that they can take into adulthood.

Dylan Chipperfield

13UW Aces

Dylan has been an active coach for 3 years and is a Trained Development Coach. He has been playing volleyball both competitively and recreationally for 30 years.

Dylan is looking forward to helping young athletes learn the fundamentals of the sport, the importance of being a team player and competing all while having fun! 

Kristin Pierce

Kevin Davis

12UW Aces

Kevin is the club founder, has been an active volleyball club coach for 17 years, and is a Certified Advanced Development Coach. Over the years he has coached in every age and competition level, including in SHSAA. Kevin has coached several athletes to college scholarships, both here in Canada and the US.  Notably, Kevin coached his team to a 14UW Division 1 Sask Cup silver medal in 2020. He has for the last several years dedicated his time to the developmental side of the sport, helping young athletes be the best that they can be, through skill development, mental support and by building relationships that will last through their volleyball careers.

Mike Chartier

17UM/18UM Blackouts

Mike is a teacher with Saskatoon Public Schools and has organized and coached youth sports and activities for nearly 25 years. He is currently in his 2nd year of coaching youth club volleyball and is working towards becoming a Certified Development Coach.

Mike's coaching philosophy emphasizes the development of athlete confidence and capacity through positive physical and mental growth. He loves the intensity and precision of volleyball and is looking forward to a great season with CVVC.
